I bought this from buy.com and was concerned it was a refurb. Called customer service (1-800-800-0800) and they said it would be marked refurb if so, otherwise it is new. When the box came it was a new product.

Buy.com had a discount for first time buyers (not Google check out discount) which gave me about the same price as the Google check out discount. It did take a few days for the order to process, but I had it in about a week's time.

I was suspicious of buy.com, but it all worked very well. The N800 is a better device, but I didn't need the extras and for the price difference I couldn't be happier with the N770.

Tech service is not too knowledgeable with the device. I had difficulty getting the unit to connect with my local network. The quick start guide tells you click on the connections icon, but the more detailed manual tells you to open the connections manager. Using both of these methods I was finally able to get a connection. I use WEP inscription and when you enter the code it shows the alphanumeric entry for a second then show an * so you cannot go back and check to see if you enter the wrong data. Once I got the connection though, it worked very well and has since. It is very good at finding networks and picks them up much better than a home based device would, although I guess that is what you should expect from a mobile device.

The price for the 770 and 2 gig kingston mmcm memory is now $203.98, which is $48 more than when I placed my order, which they canceled "for my own protection" seems kinda fishy to me. I think I will go elsewhere to buy my products

The odd "Sent to Warehouse" wait at Buy.com seems to take about five business days. Apparently, they order them from a supplier as needed rather than stocking units directly. (My 770 unit arrived on the 12th.)

It's also worth noting that Buy.com is not particularly fast at notifying their customers that a product has shipped... sometimes not sending notification until after the customer received the items ordered.

I ordered my nokia 770 from buy.com but I have big problem with them couple of days order status was still sent to warehouse...

After a day status didn't changed, no shipping email. I send them email and you know what !? They told me that they doesn't update the site they have no items in stock and they don't have estimated arrival date for this item?!

Ok, I went to my buy.com account to cancel this item, it goes to state Cancelation Requested but...

Still nothing I have pending transaction and cannot order from other Company this item because buy.com don't want to cancel my order, still waiting ... They said maybe in the mean time we can ship item so you cannot cancel it ... But they don't have it so funny...

I am very disappointed with this www.buy.com. They don't have phone number for customer support which is good for them in this situatuions.
